Paf moves tech stack to the cloud to help scale business
Operator partners with data analytics provider Sumo Logic to ensure a smooth transition

Paf is in the process of migrating its technology stack onto Amazon’s AWS cloud to help the business scale up and meet the demands of new markets, EGR has learned.
The project is being assisted by data analytics service Sumo Logic to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible.
Sumo will provide operational, security and business insights across Paf’s distributed system during migration.
Speaking to EGR, security architect at Paf’s Helsinki office, Lars-Goran Hakamo, said the move would help the operator meet the demands of moving into new markets.
“The overall roadmap is to try to have everything migrated by spring next year, which is very tight,” Hakamo said.
The process will also involve the Paf tech team adopting a DevOps set-up to make teams more self-sufficient and work more closely within the business.
“Having the development teams working with the business will ensure we are able to move features faster into production and on to our end customers,” Hakamo said.
