Paddy Power names new sportsbook director
Irish bookmaker installs long-term Flutter employee Francesco Borsetti to lead operations following spells with Betfair and TVG

Paddy Power has appointed Flutter Entertainment stalwart Francesco Borsetti as its new sportsbook director.
Borsetti returns to the Irish bookmaker after spells with its sister brands Betfair and Betfair US and TVG in the US.
Borsetti most recently served as Betfair gaming director from July 2018 until April 2022 and oversaw the relaunch of the Betfair Casino brand.
He also spent more than two years as brand marketing and customer acquisition director for TVG and Betfair US.
He began his career in the industry with Paddy Power back in 2013 as an intern then moving into the role of lead commercial analyst in 2014.
In his new role as Paddy Power sportsbook director, Borsetti will be directly responsible for managing a 20-strong commercial team and leading a cross-functional team of more than 100 people.
Borsetti will be based in Dublin. He will report into Paddy Power CCO David Newton.
Last week, Flutter confirmed the resignation of UK & Ireland CEO Conor Grant, who has chosen to take a planned career break from the gambling industry.
Grant spent more than 17 years with the London-listed firm but has decided to take a sabbatical to spend more time with his family.
EGR explored the operator giant’s decision to replace Grant with an industry outsider in the shape of Ian Brown.
