Novibet reports 44% YoY GGR spike in 2023 as headcount soars by almost 500
Greek operator champions successful 2023 as active customers across platform rise by 124%

Novibet has posted a 44% year-on-year (YoY) leap in gross gaming revenue (GGR) in 2023 as part of a strong 12 months for the Greek operator.
While the privately owned firm did not fully disclose its financial performance, it did confirm a 525% skyrocket in customer registrations.
That soar in registrations was coupled with a 124% leap in active users across the group’s platform.
Away from performance, Novibet hired 483 new employees last year which were augmented with more than 90 internal changes.
The operator noted it had more than 100 job openings each month last year, with total headcount now standing at more than 900 people.
Those staff are spread across Novibet’s four hubs in Greece, Brazil, Mexico and Malta.

Included in those hires were the senior appointments of former HSBC director Al Alevizakos as CFO and ex-Ernst & Young head Alexandros Pappas as chief experience officer.
Elsewhere, new market launches, including in Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Canada, took the number of jurisdictions the operator is live in to 10.
Novibet also made its debut in the EGR Power 50 in 2023 after breaking into the rankings in 45th place.
A spokesperson for the firm said: “2023 has been a milestone year for Novibet. Within the last two years, Novibet has doubled its global headcount, and at the same time, the company’s customer base and the number of active users have [grown] tremendously.
“In addition to the above, the launch of six new markets in 2023 and the company’s global expansion plan sets the tone for an even more exciting 2024.”
