Novibet nets ex-HSBC head as CFO
Greek operator brings in financial expert Al Alevizakos for his first role in the igaming industry

Novibet has named former HSBC director Al Alevizakos as its new chief financial officer (CFO).
A veteran of the financial sector, Alevizakos joins the Greek operator after a two-year spell as MD of AXIA Ventures Group in Athens.
Alevizakos counts a list of leading names from the financial world on his CV, including spells with Deloitte, Mediobanca and KBW.
He previously spent more than three years with HSBC in London, initially joining as associate director for global banks research in January 2016 before being named director for the division in March 2017.
The Greek also had a two-year stint with TP ICAP across its investor relations arm.
In a statement, Novibet said: “We are thrilled to announce that Al Alevizakos joins our team as our new chief financial officer.
“With a proven track record of managing top-performing teams on a global scale, Al’s commitment to excellence and sustainable growth is considered a vital ingredient for our growth journey.
“His extensive expertise in capital markets, investment banking, corporate finance and his broad experience in pivotal leadership finance positions instil in us the confidence that, together, we will embark on a journey to steer Novibet to new heights.”
At last night’s EGR Operator Awards, Novibet took home the title for affiliate programme of the year, while coming second place in the ESG strategy of the year rankings.
