Novibet lands former Flutter director as new CCO
Sports betting operator poaches industry veteran Yannis Xirotyris as he cites agility as key reason for move

Novibet has appointed former Flutter Entertainment director Yannis Xirotyris as the operator’s new chief commercial operator (CCO).
Xirotyris joins the sports betting outfit from industry giant Flutter, where he most recently served as the Dublin-headquartered firm’s international development director from August 2020 until March 2021.
Xirotyris also spent more than eight years with now Flutter-owned PokerStars, culminating in his final role as director of international development and regulatory affairs.
Xirotyris, a former professional poker player, also spent more than six years as a regional manager in Greece and the Balkans for Sportingbet.
As CCO, he will be responsible for the strategic and international expansion of the brand, developing commercial agreements and initiation of new business partnerships and acquisitions.
Xirotyris will be based in the Isle of Man and report into Novibet owner Rodolfo Odoni. He assumed his new role on 1 June.
Speaking to EGR, Xirotyris revealed a desire for greater autonomy played a key role in his decision to leave tier-one operator Flutter and join Novibet.
He said: “Flutter has a strong and experienced leadership team, that is doing a very good job integrating PokerStars and the other recently acquired companies, while at the same time, streamlining processes and ways of working to achieve resource and revenue optimisation.
“After nine years, I was looking for a role that would allow me to be part of a more agile and fast-growing team, with direct input into the final decision-making process and full accountability. I believe I have found all of these and more within Novibet,” he added.
