Novibet becomes latest IBIA member ahead of Brazil regulation
Greek firm joins international integrity body as it looks to add a Brazil licence to its armoury

Novibet has become the latest sports betting operator to become a member of the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) as the firm prepares to bid for a licence in Brazil.
Regulations in Brazil mean that any operator looking to go live in the country must be part of an international integrity body beforehand.
This rule has led to a number of sportsbooks joining the IBIA ahead of the regulated market going live, which moved one step closer this week with the latest SPA ordinance publication.
Novibet already boasts licences to operate in Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Ireland and Italy.
Currently, the IBIA is made up of more than 125 betting brands and is designed to protect regulated sports betting markets from match fixing.
As the most recent addition, Novibet will support the body’s efforts by sharing information as part of a global monitoring network.
Panagiotis Skyrlas, Novibet chief international expansion officer, made clear that the move to join the IBIA was taken with customers in mind.
He remarked: “At Novibet, our commitment to transparency has always been at the core of everything we do. Joining IBIA is a testament to this commitment, as we continually strive to set new benchmarks for integrity and excellence in the online betting industry.
“By aligning ourselves with IBIA, we are reinforcing our vision to uphold the highest standards and to lead by example.
“We believe that by working closely with IBIA, we can further elevate trust and confidence in the industry, ensuring that our customers always have a fair and secure betting experience with us.”
IBIA CEO Khalid Ali added: “Novibet is an established name in the sports betting sector and brings with it a global customer base that will be of significant value for IBIA’s monitoring network.
“IBIA is therefore delighted that Novibet has joined the association and welcomes the operator’s commitment to utilising the best integrity protection available globally for its sports betting products.”
