Brazilian football ace features in new film as part of global brand refresh
Global football star Neymar Jr has returned to front a new advertising campaign for PokerStars, amid a total refresh of the online poker brand.
Starring in a new film as part of PokerStars’ ‘All In’ campaign, the film shows the Paris Saint-Germain forward inviting players into his inner circle, declaring he is ‘IN’.
The 28-year-old first became a brand ambassador for the online poker brand in 2015, joining sporting icons including Brazilian football legend Ronaldo and 20-time Grand Slam tennis champion Rafa Nadal.
The return of Neymar follows a total brand refresh which aims to increase PokerStars’ global footprint and includes the poker site’s first dedicated safer gambling adverts, which debuted in August.
A twitter post by him yesterday to announce his return has so far garnered almost 300,000 views, 500 retweets and 20,000 likes.

“When I’m not playing football, I love playing cards,” Neymar Jr said.
“Competing with my friends is a huge passion of mine, I love the sense of community, the fun, and the unpredictable moments that can occur in any game.
“As a true poker fan, I am excited to start a new chapter with PokerStars. Together we’ll be creating moments for our community and fans all over the world,” the Brazilian footballer added.
In October, French football legend David Ginola joined PokerStars to front the new “La Grosse Cote” campaign, which aims to communicate the brand’s increased match odds and promotional offers to punters.
