NetEnt kicks off company restructure as COO Björn Krantz resigns
Krantz leaves NetEnt after more than 10 years as the firm combines sales, marketing and commercial into one team

NetEnt’s chief operating officer (COO) Björn Krantz has resigned after more than 10 years with the online casino supplier, prompting an internal restructure of the firm’s sales, marketing and commercial teams.
Krantz announced his departure to NetEnt staff this week and will see the Malta-based company’s sales, marketing and commercial teams merging into a single reporting line and team.
The restructure means commercial director Christine Lewis and marketing director Trevor Westacott, as well as their respective teams, will now report into Andy Whitworth, chief strategy officer and UK MD.
Whitworth joined NetEnt from GVC in July.
Meanwhile, senior account manager Karolina O’Sullivan and MD for Americas Erik Nyman will report into Lewis along with their Gibraltar and US teams.
Talking to EGR about Krantz’s departure, CEO Therese Hillman said he had played a “very important role” during the company’s growth journey over the last decade.
Hillman said: “He has had several different roles, and for me personally, it has been a pleasure to work closely with Björn and his passion for NetEnt – his never-ending energy, his engagement with customers, as well as his never-giving-up-attitude have resulted in great achievements throughout the years.
“I wish him good luck in his future career, and I am sure that we will meet somewhere in the igaming world in the near future,” she added.
The departure of Krantz and company restructure comes after NetEnt recently announced a deal to buy rival slots provider Red Tiger Gaming, while it also recently opened a new office in London as a base for its UK expansion.
