NetEnt eyes UK growth with new London office
Swedish slots supplier enhances UK footprint with new subsidiary based in Kings Cross

Slots specialist NetEnt has opened a new office in London’s Kings Cross following the establishment of its NetEnt UK Ltd subsidiary.
The Stockholm-listed supplier has made the UK a priority growth market and believes that opening a new London office will improve its relationship with UK operators.
The office was opened by NetEnt UK MD Andy Whitworth and director of platform products and services Rob Fell. The pair joined NetEnt from GVC in June and will be tasked with building NetEnt’s new platform, EGR Intel understands.
NetEnt intends to hire 10 to 12 people over the next six months but envisages “moving into a much bigger office space within a year”.

Whitworth said: “We are delighted to be open for business in the UK. We need a local presence to better support our valued customers and grow our market share.
“We have already recruited some key talent and now we begin a period of recruitment for the second wave,” he added.
NetEnt’s Q2 revenues dipped by 4.1% to €39.8m as a result of “weak development” in Nordic markets and especially in Sweden.
The supplier is now looking to other European markets including the UK to drive growth, as well as acquisitions, having tied up the £223m purchase of slots rival Red Tiger Gaming earlier this month.
NetEnt CEO Therese Hillman said: “This is a natural next step and an example of our commitment to the local market.
“The UK is already our largest market, and we see a short-term opportunity to grow our market share by being closer to our UK based customers.
“Our increased UK presence is one of the NetEnt Group’s key strategic initiatives this year.”
