
Nektan raids IGT for new CEO
Leigh Nissim to lead the mobile gaming supplier after four years at IGT

Nektan has appointed IGT’s former commercial director Leigh Nissim as its new chief executive officer (CEO), the mobile gaming provider announced today
Effective from late July, Nissim replaces former chief executive David Gosen who resigned from his position in January after a year with the company.
Interim CEO and founder of Nektan, Gary Shaw, will remain with the business as director of strategy.
Nissim has over 11 years’ experience in the gaming industry. In his previous role for IGT’s interactive business, he was responsible for the growth of the real-money wagering business across multiple regulated markets in Europe and North America.
Jim Wilkinson, chairman of Nektan, said the firm was “delighted to be appointing someone of Leigh’s calibre and experience”.
“With his strong track record of successfully growing gambling businesses across our product verticals and within regulated markets, Leigh’s appointment will help Nektan continue its growth momentum and capitalise on new distribution and product opportunities,” he said.
“The Board is confident that Leigh’s digital and gaming pedigree, plus his financial background gained earlier in his career at Deloitte, will benefit the employees, customers and shareholders of Nektan as we enter the next chapter of our development.”
Nektan reported net gaming revenue of ?2.7m for the first quarter of 2016, a 115% quarter-on-quarter growth.
