Nektan continues mobile casino drive with Sun Play deal
Mobile gaming supplier to develop and operate The Sun-branded mobile casino offering F2P and RMG casino games
Mobile gaming supplier Nektan has teamed-up with UK newspaper The Sun to launch a Sun-branded mobile casino later this year.
The product, which will be called Sun Play, will be powered by Nektanâs Evolve mobile gaming platform and feature both F2P and real-money gaming titles and has been designed to cater for players moving from virtual currency games to real-money gambling on mobile devices.
Sun Play is to be advertised in The Sunâs print and online titles and Nektan said the deal is likely to have a âsignificant impactâ on the firmâs trading in 2015.
Neil Martin, business development director at The Sun parent company News UK, said that providing entertainment for its readers âacross different points of their media dayâ is a key focus for the business.
âHaving carefully evaluated the market, Nektan were the stand-out partner for News UK to power Sun Play,â Martin said.
The deal comes a month after Nektan released a similarly branded mobile casino for fellow UK newspaper City AM and comes amid a drive from the supplier to break into the potentially lucrative US gaming market.
