On his move, Warfield told EGR North America: “This opportunity to go from one all-star team to another and join the PGA Tour in a space that is rapidly evolving every single day is a dream come true and I’m excited about this new professional challenge and personal adventure.
“I look forward to getting started and learning from some of the best minds in all of sports in an effort to help catapult the incredible game of golf to even greater heights in the months and years ahead,” he added.
During his time at NASCAR, Warfield was instrumental in establishing a Genius Sports-powered in-race betting product and securing partnerships with a number of operators.
In May, Warfield facilitated a deal with IMG Arena to develop a virtual betting product to replicate NASCAR’s most iconic tracks.
These games proved incredibly popular during the downtime of professional sports earlier in the year due to Covid-19.
NASCAR is seeking a replacement MD, sports betting to maintain its relationships with betting partners.
