Midnite adds former Luckbox head of comms as growth phase continues
James McMath to lead comms output at esports betting operator after leaving Isle of Man-based Luckbox

Esports betting firm Midnite has hired James McMath as its head of communications from fellow esports-first operator Luckbox.
McMath joins Midnite to lead the company’s comms output after almost five years with Luckbox.
He joined the TSX-listed firm in October 2018 as a media relations manager before becoming head of communications in April 2021.
Midnite onboards McMath as the company continues its growth phase, having secured $16m in Series A funding in February.
Midnite noted McMath’s hire took its employee headcount to 56, with 35 people having joined the company since January.
These hires include former Oddschecker head of digital marketing Ryan Murton who joined as VP of organic and ex-Luckbox director of esports Sujoy Roy as marketing director.
Speaking on his appointment, McMath said: “I’m delighted to have joined the team at what is an incredibly exciting time for Midnite as we look to continue to establish ourselves as a significant player in the esports and sports betting industry.
“I’m really looking forward to playing my part as we continue to grow, attracting new users and further enhancing our proprietary product,” he added.
Midnite co-founder Nick Wright commented: “These are exciting times for our company and I am thrilled that we have been able to strengthen our team significantly as we aim to smash our growth goals for the year.”
