Microgaming appoints Leon Thomas as MD of Bingo
Ex-Tombola MD and Instant Win Gaming CCO appointed to “grow and progress” Microgaming’s bingo vertical

Microgaming has appointed former Instant Win Gaming (IWG) commercial chief Leon Thomas as its new managing director of bingo, the supplier announced today.
Thomas joins the Isle of Man-headquartered firm from lottery and bingo-games operator IWG, where he most recently served as chief commercial officer.
Thomas previously worked as managing director for UK online bingo firm Tombola and was responsible for launching the brand in both Spain and Italy. Thomas has also previously held several positions at Rank Group, Mecca Digital, Caesars and NYX Gaming.
Speaking about his new role, Thomas cited the “scale and reach” of the Microgaming platform and the potential to substantially grow the bingo side of the business.

Microgaming CEO John Coleman highlighted Thomas’s “immense experience” in both the B2B and B2C industries within online gaming as being vital to the business.
“Leon will play a leading role as we continue to maximise the value, success and growth of our bingo vertical,” he added.
Last month, Microgaming successfully launched its games across fellow egaming company Mansion’s portfolio of betting, slots and bingo games and recently announced an exclusive deal to develop new content with Tallinn based egaming studio All41 Studios.
