MGM appoints new Borgata president
Marcus Glover to take over from Tom Ballance in charge of New Jersey casino

MGM Resorts has named Marcus Glover as the new president and COO of the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City.
Glover will oversee the daily operations of the property while providing strategic direction and leadership, MGM said.
He succeeds Tom Ballance in the role, who will become executive vice president of operations for MGM Resorts, as previously announced in May.
“Marcus’ proven leadership ability and wide range of skills will continue to serve the Company well as he assumes this new role,” said Corey Sanders, chief operating officer of MGM Resorts.

Glover joined MGM Resorts in 2015, first serving as general manager and then president and chief operating office of Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Mississippi.
Before that he served as senior vice president and general manager for Caesars Entertainment in northeastern Ohio, and as assistant general manager and vice president of operations for Harrah’s.
Glover takes over at an interesting time for Borgata, with the operator seeing significant fluctuations in its monthly egaming revenues, bouncing back in June, after a down May.
MGM is planning to launch its own egaming offering into New Jersey in H2.
