Marathonbet inks compliance tech deal with GiG Comply
Sports betting operator becomes latest to sign up for affiliate marketing compliance service

Marathonbet has signed an agreement with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) which will see the betting firm integrate the GiG Comply affiliate marketing service into its operations.
GiG Comply software looks at an operator’s affiliate partner pages and identifies non-compliance with advertising standards.
Using a definable set of parameters, the tool analyses snapshots from affiliate marketing campaigns and provides operators with oversight for where their promotional content is being used in brand promotions by affiliate partners.
The criteria, which are flexible, can be tailored to cover an operator’s market-specific requirements, allowing operators to weed out non-compliant affiliate marketing.
“We are happy that Marathonbet has placed trust in GiG Comply to help ensure that they remain proactive and compliant with advertising regulatory requirements,” GiG Media MD Jonas Warrer said.
“This will not only help to ensure they remain compliant but will also help to safeguard their licence in multiple jurisdictions,” Warrer added.
Other operators to have integrated the GiG Comply tool include bet365, Betsson, LeoVegas and PokerStars.
In March 2020, GiG introduced a screening tool to identify instances of Covid-19-themed marketing of online gambling by affiliates.
