
Lottomatica tops Italian online betting rankings for March
Goldbet operators holds off Sisal to top sports betting and casino rankings ahead of IPO


Lottomatica remains the operator to beat in the Italian market after the firm topped the sports betting and casino rankings in March.
The operator, which plans to list on the Euronext Milan by the end of April, posted gross gaming revenue (GGR) of €23.3m for sports betting, representing a 15.9% market share.
Flutter Entertainment-owned Sisal came in second after taking a 14.9% market share with a GGR of €21.9m.
Bet365 jumped into third place after netting €18.3m in GGR and a corresponding market share of 12.5%.
Playtech’s B2C brand Snaitech (€17.2m) and SKS365 (€13.9m) closed out the top five sports betting operators in the market.
Elsewhere, Entain brands Eurobet and bwin ended the month in sixth and eighth, respectively.
Alongside Sisal, Flutter also counted Betfair and PokerStars in the top 14 sports betting operators in the market.
Basing sports betting market share on turnover once again saw bet365 rise to the top of the pile.
The operator posted a turnover of €271.2m and a market share of 24.1%.
Lottomatica secured a 13.6% market share off the back of €152.9m in turnover.
Looking at casino operations, Lottomatica made it a vertical sweep after topping the chart with a 13.8% market share off the back of €27.2m in GGR.
Sisal remained in second place, replicating its sports betting performance, with GGR of €18.6m and a market share of 9.4%.
Snaitech jumped into third place with GGR of €15.9m and a market share of 8% as bet365 plunged to 17th place, a contrast to its sports betting performance.
Elsewhere, PokerStars moved into fourth spot with GGR of €14m, while 888 broke into the top five after netting €12.9m in GGR in March.
