Goldbet and Betflag operator continues to stave off challenge from Sisal and Snaitech in mature European market

Lottomatica strengthened its grip as the leading operator in Italy after once again topping the sports betting and casino rankings in April.
The Goldbet operator, which listed on the EuroNext Milan last month, posted gross gaming revenue (GGR) of €25.7m from its sports betting operations, representing a 16.6% market share.
Flutter Entertainment-owned Sisal retained its second-place finish from March after recording GGR of €22.3m and a corresponding market share of 14.5%.
Playtech B2C brand Snaitech leapt above bet365 to take the bronze medal position in April with a GGR of €18.8m and a market share of 12.1%.
Bet365 (€17.4m) and SKS365 (€14.6m) closed out the top five sports betting operators based on GGR return.
Entain’s Eurobet and bwin ended April in sixth and ninth place, respectively.
Flutter saw its Betfair and PokerStars brands finish within the top 18 sports betting operators for the month.
Basing sports betting market share on turnover, bet365 continued to dominate that metric, posting a turnover of €242.5m and market share of 21.7%.
Comparatively, Lottomatica recorded turnover of €155m and a market share of 18.9%.
Looking at online casino, Lottomatica extended its market share lead over its nearest rivals with a 13.8% stake and GGR of €26.3m.
It was a replica top three for online casino as it was for sports betting, with Sisal (€17m) and Snaitech (€16.3m) taking the podium places.
PokerStars retained its fourth-place position from March, while SKS365 and 888 swapped places to round out the top six.
