LiveScore Group promotes ex-bet365 head to lead trading division
Francisco Jose Pimentel Cano steps up to replace Janis Stratus following latter’s departure to theScore

LiveScore Group has named Francisco Jose Pimentel Cano as its new head of trading as the company moves to replace Janis Strauts.
Pimentel Cano originally joined LiveScore Group in December 2020 as a trading analyst at the firm’s Virgin Bet arm.
In January 2022, Pimentel Cano shifted to the LiveScore Group parent company as trading team leader.
Pimentel Cano has now been promoted to head of trading, replacing Strauts who left in November 2022 after more than five years.
Prior to joining Virgin Bet, Pimentel Cano spent more than four years with bet365 in Malta and Gibraltar across a series of trading roles.
Touching on his promotion at LiveScore Group, Pimentel Cano said: “I’m very happy to share that I am starting a new position as head of trading at LiveScore Group.
“I wanted to thank the whole trading team as they are part of this achievement and also everyone that has been involved in this decision that allows me to grow professionally,” he added.
Earlier this month, LiveScore Group moved to refocuses resources following the sale of Roxor Gaming to Aristocrat.
LiveScore Group will now solely focus on its two B2C sports betting divisions – LiveScore Bet and Virgin Bet – and its worldwide sports publishing division.
EGR understands the former internal shared functions, including HR, legal, finance and IT, will now exclusively be servicing LiveScore Group.
