LeoVegas rolls out BankID-powered registration system
Operator is the first to offer the fully integrated quick registration and withdrawal function without using a third party supplier

LeoVegas has launched an in-house fast registration and withdrawal function using Sweden’s BankID e-identification system.
The operator is the first to integrate the system directly while competing firms have used third party payment providers like Trustly.
LeoVegas said it significantly reduces the number of clicks to register and sign-in.
“With BankID we are now offering the best product on the market in Sweden,” group CEO Gustaf Hagman said.
“For new and existing customers we provide a very smooth and simple log-in and registration experience while giving them access to the market’s broadest offering of casino games and sports betting.”
The operator also announced the creation of a chief compliance and legal officer (CCLO) position this week, appointing Anders Fast on an interim basis.
Fast, who has been seconded to LeoVegas from his managing partner role at Stockholm based law-firm Baker McKenzie, has almost 20 years’ experience in the legal sector, including 15 years with Baker McKenzie.
The new role includes an overall responsibility for LeoVegas’s work in compliance and legal affairs including dealing with regulatory authorities, licensors and developing and managing the group’s responsible gaming strategy.
In addition to this role, the new CCLO will have a seat in the group’s management. LeoVegas has confirmed the commencement of a recruitment process to fill the role permanently.
Gustaf Hagman, group CEO said: “In a phase in which the industry is maturing and focus on compliance is rising, at the same time that our regulated revenue is growing sharply, the timing is now right to put a CCLO role in place. I am very happy that Anders will take on the CCLO role until we have found the right person long term.
