LeoVegas Group recruits former Entain exec as new director of legal
Operator adds James Elliott to its legal division after more than three years with London-listed Entain

LeoVegas Group has appointed former Entain exec James Elliott as the company’s new director of legal.
Elliott joins LeoVegas Group from Entain having joined the firm in August 2020 as customer ombudsman director and later becoming director of global safer gambling policy in February 2023.
Elliot left Entain in October of last year.
Prior to joining Entain, Elliott spent more than five years at NetEnt as the group’s general counsel and managing director for Gibraltar before leaving in June 2020.
He also spent time as bwin’s director of legal affairs from May 2005 to October 2014.
Elliott, who is board member for Gibraltar International Bank, will continue to be based on the peninsula as part of his new role with LeoVegas.
Abby Cosgrave, chief compliance legal and risk officer, told EGR: “I am very excited to have James on board as the most recent recruitment in the ongoing strengthening of our internal Legal and Compliance functions.
“His recruitment illustrates LeoVegas Group’s ongoing intent to excel in this area and to employ the most senior and experienced employees to do so.”
LeoVegas has made numerous appointments in recent months including Jacob Hargaden-Llewellin as its new Canada country manager and Dario Poiese as director if Italy and the rest of the world.
Last week, LeoVegas head of gaming business development Viktor Hoffmann claimed that jackpots would play a key role in allowing the firm to carve out market share among its rivals.
