LeoVegas Group snaps up ex-PokerStars head as UK country manager
Ben Ingham to play key role in Swedish firm’s growth in the market following launch of BetMGM last year

LeoVegas Group has named former Sky Betting and Gaming head Ben Ingham as the firm’s new UK country manager.
Ingham joins the MGM Resorts International-owned business after more than two years with PokerStars where he served as the online operator’s UK country lead.
Ingham cut his teeth in the industry with a move to Sky Betting and Gaming in February 2017 as a media planner having joined from UK-based agency Alchemy Media.
In August 2018, he was named senior offline media executive before a promotion to offline media manager in October 2019.
Ingham then swapped Sky Betting and Gaming for PokerStars in August 2021.
Ingham will now play a key role in LeoVegas Group’s UK operations, with the company running several brands in the market.
These include the recently launched BetMGM UK, as well as BetUK, Pink Casino, Slot Boss and 21.co.uk.
LeoVegas Group is aiming to make significant strides in the UK, with a 120-person office in Newcastle headed up by UK and Ireland director Sam Behar.
The firm enlisted Hollywood star Chris Rock to front a glitzy launch campaign for the BetMGM UK brand, while it has spread its marketing wings with sponsorship deals across football and darts.
EGR caught up with Behar and LeoVegas Group CEO Gustaf Hagman last year to discuss the pair’s plans to tackle the UK.
Elsewhere, the firm added former Entain exec James Elliot as the company’s new director of legal last month.
