Operator returns to Dutch market following two-year exile after securing licence in July

LeoVegas has announced the launch of LeoVegas.nl, marking the firm’s long-awaited return to the Netherlands.
The operator had been granted a Dutch licence by the Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA) in July having been subject to a cooling-off period when the online market was regulated on 1 October 2021.
LeoVegas had previously targeted Dutch players prior to regulation, with the KSA ordering firms who had done so to be subject to an exile from the regulated market.
The launch continues the operator’s European growth following April’s debut of LeoVegas.de.
Gustaf Hagman, LeoVegas Group CEO, spoke positively of the launch and tipped the firm to be a leading contender in the Netherlands.
Hagman said: “The king of casino is finally home in the orange kingdom. I am delighted that we are taking steps into the Dutch market.
“The combination of a well-known brand, our platform and cutting-edge content will make LeoVegas.nl a contender for the leader’s jersey in the Dutch igaming market,” he added
