
Ladbrokes Coral MD departs for Tote role
Mark Kemp to join Together for the Tote later this year after eight-year career with Coral


Ladbrokes Coral’s UK digital MD Mark Kemp is leaving the business to join Together for the Tote, it was announced today.
Kemp will become UK managing director at Together for the Tote, which is aiming to revitalise the role of the Tote in British horseracing.
Kemp has been has been with Coral since 2011, holding various executive roles across marketing, operations and product.
He was responsible for developing and launching the omni-channel product Coral Connect and has led the UK digital business since early 2017.
“I have hugely enjoyed my time at Ladbrokes Coral and GVC, during a rapidly evolving time of change for the business,” said Kemp. “I would like to thank everyone I have worked with over the years who have delivered success with me and wish them well for the future.”
GVC co-COO Andy Hornby also announced plans to leave the business earlier this month.
Kemp will take up his new role at Together for the Tote later in the year and joins a strong team of gaming execs including Jamie Hart, Barry Sage and Ian Penrose.
Kemp added: “I am really excited to be joining the team at what is an enormously important time for the business.
“This is a unique opportunity to invest and rejuvenate the Tote and enhance the special role the Tote plays in British racing. I have been deeply impressed by Eamonn, Alex and the team’s plans and look forward to joining a passionate and ambitious team.”

Alex Frost, chief executive of Alizeti, which is funding the Together for Tote team, said: “We are delighted Mark is joining our team. His skills and experience will be an invaluable asset to us.
“We have ambitious plans to grow the Tote and are bringing together dedicated people who are entirely focused on ensuring the Tote has a successful future. We are all looking forward to working with Mark when he starts with us later in the year.”
Alizeti currently holds a 25% stake in the Tote but needs to acquire a majority stake from Fred Done before it can fully modernise the product.
