La Liga Tech launches incubator for data, gaming and NFT start-ups
B2B branch ramps up commitment to improving fan engagement and content with SportsBoost partnership

La Liga Tech, the data led B2B solution created by Spanish football’s top division, has launched a start-up incubator for fan engagement firms.
La Liga Tech was launched in September 2021 with the aim of improving fan engagement, content enhancement and competition management.
The incubator, launched in partnership with SportsBoost, will see start-up firms submit proposals to take part in the scheme.
In its brief, La Liga Tech is looking for “disruptive solutions with growth potential” across data, gaming and NFTs, three areas which could pique the interest of the igaming industry.
Selected projects will take part in a workshop led by La Liga Tech and SportsBoost in order to ascertain finer detail and expectations of the project.
A final stage will see successful start-ups develop a pilot programme for the respective solution, with potential future investment from La Liga Tech and SportsBoost, as well as potential integration in the La Liga Tech ecosystem, on offer.
In a statement discussing the aims of the incubator project, La Liga said: “La Liga’s objective, through La Liga Tech, is to accelerate the digital transformation of the sports and entertainment industry with a unique ecosystem of integrated technologies that it offers to its clients around the world.
“To support this, it has partnered with SportBoost in order to help start-ups increase their global visibility, making it easier for them to perform their work at the highest level,” the sporting body added.
