La Liga launches B2B solution with fantasy gaming and streaming services
Spanish top-flight branches out into new venture following six years of development as CEO praises “data-led approach”

La Liga, Spanish football’s top division, has launched a B2B solution which could provide the igaming industry with a welcome new vertical.
La Liga Tech has been developed over the last six years and has now launched to market as a publicly available commercial solution.
The product, which is available as managed services via the cloud, boasts a three-pronged approach to its offering.
The three principal areas of La Liga Tech – fan engagement, content enhancement and competition management – represent a wide-ranging set of products available to a variety of industries, including igaming and sports betting.
The fan engagement section includes the technology to build “competition apps and web platforms, including fantasy gaming” and launching OTT streaming platforms, both of which could be harnessed by daily fantasy sports and sportsbook operators.
From its content enhancement branch, La Liga Tech offers content integrity services that will analyse patterns around match-fixing and irregular betting patterns in global markets.
Miguel Ángel Leal, La Liga Tech CEO, said: “Sports and entertainment has an enormous opportunity to build on its emotional connection with fans by taking a data-led approach to understand fan behaviours and design modern, engaging and profitable experiences.
“Our products have been specifically created for the sector and are supported by the human resources that have turned La Liga into a digital leader over recent years,” he added.
The La Liga Tech team is comprised of more than 140 tech specialists.
