KSA adds new directors to help with fines appeal process
Adriane Koppe and Monique van Oers join Dutch regulator as it looks to beef up its objection procedures arm

The Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA) has named two new independent chairpersons to its Objections Advisory Committee.
Adriane Koppe and Monique van Oers will take over the role from Hanneke Feije whose term ends this month.
Koppe and van Oers will both serve for a three-year period.
The KSA said it had chosen two people to take on the position following a flurry of regulatory sanctions being handed out by the regulator, and therefore more objection procedures.
The most apparent of these was the seven-figure fine handed to Videoslots earlier this year after the KSA used a ‘mystery shopper’ technique to establish the operator did not have a Dutch licence.
Videoslots vehemently denies this fact and is the in process of objecting the decision,
Koppe is a lecturer in constitutional and administrative Law at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, while van Oers is director of legal affairs at the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets.
Speaking on the dual appointment, KSA chair René Jansen said: “We are pleased to have found two worthy successors for Hanneke Feije, and thank her for her valuable efforts.
“We consider ourselves very fortunate to have these two very knowledgeable and experienced chairmen for our objection procedures.”
