Kindred Group unveils new Watch&Bet feature

Kindred Group has launched a new sports betting overlay which allows punters to place a bet without having to exit their live stream.

The Watch&Bet innovation will enable Unibet’s mobile customers to bet on live sports without taking their eyes off the action due to a live odds overlay on the screen during sporting broadcasts.

Users are able to tap on a ‘show odds’ tab at the bottom of the stream and swipe left of right to scroll through major in-play markets such as 1X2, total goals, next goal and both teams to score, as well as derivative markets like next throw-in.

Once a selection is entered, a bet slip appears overlayed on the stream with the option to bet pre-determined amounts or enter a different stake. The feature has been designed to allow in-play bets to be placed in as few as taps as possible.

It will initially launch on iOS devices in Unibet’s European markets across football and tennis betting before launching on both Android and mobile web later in the year.

Kindred Group CPO Erik Bäcklund said the product would help to “create a more seamless user experience than ever before” on the sportsbook with a focus on being fast, easy and fun.

“Through thorough customer feedback capturing and innovative internal workshops, we dreamt up a grand vision of how we can transform the in-play betting experience,” said Bäcklund.

“With this new Watch&Bet player we are one step closer towards that dream. But we are far from done, as this is the foundation to which numerous building blocks will be added and we are all really excited over the upcoming releases for our sports betting customers,” he added.

Unibet offers more than 85,000 live streamed sports events each year.
