Kindred Group head of poker steps down
Former professional poker player Kristoffer Bergvall leaves the operator after nearly 12 years of service in various poker-related roles

Kindred Group’s head of poker, Kristoffer Bergvall, is stepping down from his role with the operator after nearly 12 years.
After spending two years as a professional poker player between 2011 and 2013, the exec first joined Kindred as a customer services agent in March 2013.
A spell as poker operations executive from December 2014 to November 2017 soon followed before he worked as poker product marketing strategy manager until September 2018.
Bergvall would then assume the role of head of poker from September 2018, during he which he oversaw operations for the vertical, with Unibet Poker being the group’s flagship brand.
In the nine months to the end of September 2024, poker accounted for £26.4m of Kindred’s revenue, up from £25.5m in the same period last year.
Taking to LinkedIn, Bergvall said: “After an incredible 11 years, the time has come for me to say goodbye to Kindred. It’s a bittersweet moment. While I’m excited about the next chapter in my career, I’ll deeply miss the exceptional people and experiences that have defined my journey here.
“I’m profoundly grateful for the opportunities, friendships and growth I’ve experienced during my time at Kindred.
“Working alongside some of the most talented and dedicated professionals in the igaming industry has been an absolute privilege. Together, we’ve accomplished so much, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built.”
Bergvall went on to thank the companies he collaborated with during his time with Kindred.
He continued: “The collaborations I’ve been part of, spanning product development, marketing, customer operations and beyond, have shaped my professional journey and provided me with invaluable insights into the dynamic world of igaming.
“A special thank you goes out to our amazing partners: live tournament organisers, ambassadors, affiliates and the incredible team at Relax Gaming. Your collaboration and support were instrumental in bringing our vision to life and making our product what it is today.
“While this is the end of one chapter, I’m looking forward to what’s ahead with excitement and curiosity. Thank you, Kindred, for an unforgettable journey.”
Bergvall’s exit marks the latest departure from Kindred following its acquisition by La Française des Jeux (FDJ).
In October, Christopher Parmenter, group director of UX, announced he was leaving the Unibet parent company, while Evert Carlsson resigned as chair to be replaced by FDJ CFO Pascal Chaffard.
