Kindred funds problem gambling therapy app
Independent app to be made available in Nordic languages and offer problem gamblers therapeutic exercises and additional support

Kindred Group has invested an undisclosed sum in an independent gambling therapy app designed to support problem gamblers.
Developed by a subsidiary of the Gordon Moody Association, the free app offers information on problem gambling, therapeutic exercises and additional support for players struggling with their gambling patterns.
The partnership is part of Kindred’s long-term commitment to responsible gambling measures and will initially be released in Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Danish.
Maris Bonello, integrity analytics manager at Kindred said: “We are very happy to be able to support the development of the Gambling Therapy app.
“Providing a safe and secure environment for our customers is at the very heart of Kindred, which is why we continue to support initiatives that can minimise the harm caused by gambling.”
“It is widely recognised within the industry that Kindred Group is a leader in Player Protection. This is thanks to the company’s commitment, its engagement and their responsible gambling team,” head of gambling therapy, Pedro Romero added.
The Swedish firm also recently commissioned a three-year research project into responsible gambling practices using anonymised customer data.
