Kateryna Biloruska sells controlling stake in Parimatch to former CEO Sergey Portnov
Co-owner and former CEO takes over full ownership of the Ukraine-founded sports betting operator

Kateryna Biloruska, member of the supervisory board at Parimatch Tech, has sold her controlling shareholding in Parimatch Group to fellow co-owner Sergey Portnov, an industry source has revealed, although no figures were disclosed.
Portnov now holds full ownership of operator Parimatch Group after buying out other minority shareholders. Having initially joined Parimatch in 2011 as CMO, he went on to become CEO in September 2013. Portnov then switched to a shareholder role and was appointed chairman of the supervisory board in 2024.
Following the news of Biloruska’s exit from the igaming industry after 13 years, which she announced via a LinkedIn post yesterday, 30 September, she will relinquish all official roles at Parimatch Group to focus on investment opportunities outside the gaming sector.

On the same day she announced her departure from the board, Biloruska also stepped down from her position on the supervisory board at Energame, an igaming consultancy firm which serves Parimatch as a client.
Announcing her exit from the industry, Biloruska said she was taking time out to recharge and reflect on her next endeavour.
“My passion is to drive positive change by identifying and supporting innovative projects and ideas. I aim to pursue new opportunities utilising my knowledge and experience with a focus on strategic investments,” she wrote on LinkedIn.
The former Parimatch co-owner will continue in her role as chairwoman of the Kateryna Biloruska Foundation, a private international charitable body focused on ensuring healthy children’s development through sport and innovative education.
Parimatch Group’s global footprint covers Europe, Asia, Africa and Latam, while the company operates Parimatch in the UK through a white-label deal with Gibraltar-based BVGroup. It is also the official betting partner of Premier League clubs Leicester City and Nottingham Forest.
The business was founded as a retail bookmaker in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 1994, by Biloruska’s father and went on to become one of the leading sports betting companies in the former Soviet Union, later expanding online.
