Kambi strengthens commercial team by installing new CCO
Sportsbook supplier names former Ericsson AB veteran Cecilia Wachtmeister as new commercial lead

Kambi has promoted its EVP of business and group functions Cecilia Wachtmeister to be its new chief commercial officer (CCO).
Wachtmeister served on Kambi’s board for two years between 2017 and 2019, before being promoted to the sports betting providers’s executive team when she assumed the EVP of business and group functions role in 2019.
Prior to joining Kambi, Wachtmeister spent 25 years at telecommunications giant Ericsson AB, where she held a number of senior management roles across business development, sales and strategy.
In her new post as CCO, Wachtmeister will lead Kambi’s commercial team, which has been bolstered further by a trio of internal promotions from elsewhere within the business.
Promotions include Sarah Robertson, who advances to the role of SVP of sales, and Veena Dhesi, who has been promoted from VP of partner success to senior VP of partner success.
Rounding out the trio of internal promotions is Jamie McKittrick, who has been named SVP of commercial operations.
Prior to joining Kambi in May 2021, McKittrick held a number of gambling industry positions, including six years spent at Coral and a further nine years in sports trading roles at Ladbrokes before returning to Entain for spell as group head of commercial at the London-listed operator.
Speaking about her promotion, Wachtmeister highlighted recent new sportsbook contracts including MaximBet and NorthStar Gaming in the US market.
“Even though we are on a steep growth trajectory, we’ve barely scratched the surface of what’s possible which is why I’m looking forward to working with my talented commercial team to ensure Kambi can capitalise on the many exciting opportunities that lay ahead,” Wachtmeister said.
“It has already been a busy start to the year with the signings of MaximBet and NorthStar Gaming and I am confident we have the right team and product in place to build on this success in 2022 and beyond,” she added.
As part of its partnership with NorthStar Gaming, Kambi was recently awarded an Ontario supplier licence by the province’s regulator, the Alcohol & Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
