Kaizen Gaming named operator of the year at the EGR Operator Awards 2024
Betano parent company sweeps up in central London with seven trophies as it takes back the crown from LeoVegas Group in the headline category
Kaizen Gaming was named operator of the year at last night’s EGR Operator Awards 2024 as the Betano parent company scooped up seven awards in total.
The firm regained its operator of the year crown after losing out to LeoVegas Group last year, with Betsson Group and Yolo Group taking silver and bronze, respectively, in the most coveted category.
Alongside securing the top title, Kaizen Gaming snapped up awards for best in-house product, best mobile sports product and best affiliate programme.
The group was also named employer of the year, football betting operator of the year and in-play sports operator of the year.
While Kaizen Gaming swept up in London, Betsson Group scored three accolades on the night after coming in second place in the operator of the year race.
The Stockholm-listed business was named customer service operator of the year and sports betting operator of the year, as well as getting the nod for ESG strategy of the year.
Jonna Danlund, Betsson Group’s head of sustainability, was also recognised for her efforts as she took home the individual achievement award.
Buzz Bingo was the only other company to be awarded multiple trophies, taking wins for marketing campaign of the year and bingo operator of the year.
Elsewhere, industry giants including Flutter, Entain and William Hill were all presented with awards while Mr Vegas was named operator rising star.
The other headline categories saw Spotlight Sports Group named affiliate of the year, PlayOJO nab the casino operator of the year award and Plucky secure innovator of the year.
The 2024 EGR Operator Awards were held at Grosvenor House, London, with the star-studded event bringing together the leading lights in the gambling industry.
