Kaizen Gaming crowned operator of the year at EGR Operator Awards 2022
Stoiximan and Betano operator has stellar night in central London while Tombola came in a close second with impressive performance
Kaizen Gaming was named operator of the year at last night’s EGR Operator Awards 2022 as the Greek firm ousted some stellar competition to take home the top prize.
The firm, which runs the Stoiximan and Betano brands, was lauded by the judges panel for its proprietary technology and ability to claw market share away from fellow top operators.
One judge praised Kaizen’s ability to build podium position at speed in key markets, including chomping away at bet365’s status as the number one operator in Greece.
Others claimed the brand’s operations over the past year had been “so impressive” based on the firm using its own tech stack in a variety of markets.
Kaizen also took home the sports betting operator of the year accolade, while also being highly commended in the the in-house product, affiliate programme and casino operator categories.
Tombola had a fantastic night, walking away with three awards and nabbing the highly commended status for operator of the year. The bingo firm took home the customer services operator, bingo operator and safer gambling operator of the year titles.
Betsson Group and Kindred Group both scooped two titles each at the prestigious black-tie event.
Betsson was named in-play sports operator of the year and the award for diversity and inclusion (D&I) model while Kindred secured horse race betting and slots operator of the year awards.
William Hill also nabbed a brace of awards, winning football betting operator of the year and taking the title for marketing campaign of the year.
Elsewhere, LiveScore Bet was named rising star after impressing under the leadership of CEO Sam Sadi and his team.
The EGR Operator Awards 2022 were hosted by comedian Stephen K. Amos in a star-studded ceremony at Grosvenor House, London, with the event continuing to bring the industry together in-person post-Covid.
