KaFe Rocks recruits former Blexr content exec as new COO
Content specialist Justin Tonna joins five-person management team at fully remote affiliate firm

Remote-working affiliate firm KaFe Rocks has hired Blexr head of content Justin Tonna to be its first ever chief operations officer (COO).
Tonna started at KaFe Rocks on 15 March and will report directly into CEO Simon Pilkington. He will become part of the company’s five-person C-level management team.
Tonna spent more than two years with Malta and Barcelona-based affiliate Blexr, predominantly as head of content, although he also occupied the product manager role for nine months.
In his new role at KaFe Rocks, he will be responsible for building operational excellence within the business and will directly oversee a core group of departments while assisting on overall strategy.
Pilkington said of the appointment: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to welcome Justin to KaFe Rocks as its first COO and am excited to see him thrive in this position and see the company benefit from the many years of experience that he brings.
“Culturally, I don’t think we could have found a better candidate than Justin and this is backed up with an expertise that met our needs perfectly. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”
Tonna holds a degree in psychology from the University of Malta.
He said: “KaFe Rocks has an excellent brand portfolio, a fantastic team of rocketeers and an exciting vision of what they want to bring to igaming affiliation.
“It makes me tremendously proud to be part of their team and I am delighted to take on the COO role to help them achieve their goals,” he added.
This month, Pilkington spoke to EGR about the future of remote working in wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
