Joonas Karhu to become CEO of Bojoko in management reshuffle
New role will centre around expansion, finance, sales and marketing as co-founder Toni Halonen pivots to CPO

Online casino affiliate site Bojoko has announced the appointment of Joonas Karhu as CEO as part of a management reshuffle.
Karhu will move from his current role as chief business officer, while current CEO and Bokojo co-founder Toni Halonen will now fulfil the newly created role of chief product officer.
“I’m excited to start leading the mission to build Bojoko into a globally recognised brand that helps players choose gambling sites.” Karhu told EGR.
“We became profitable after the first year, and now the company is in a financially solid position to go after this audacious goal. Our team has a proven track record of building market-leading products, and I believe our team to be the best in the business.”
“My focus areas in the new role will especially be around finance, expansion, sales, marketing, and building relationships with industry stakeholders,” he added.
The reshuffle will see Karhu take over the full day-to-day running of the business, with the vision to drive Bojoko to become the first globally recognised online gambling affiliate brand.
Karhu will also be looking to further develop the strong relationships that he established as chief business officer, with a range of major industry stakeholders.
The Malta-based company, which was established by parent company Good Game in 2011, has created several product upgrades recently, including two in-house-developed iOS and Android game-training apps.
In 2020, Karhu launched the Professional Gambling Affiliates Association (PGAA) to help improve the relationship between affiliates and operators.
