Isle of Man partners with Estonian regulator
Regulatory bodies sign cooperation and information sharing deal

The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC) has entered into an information sharing agreement with the Estonian Tax and Customs Board.
The agreement comes less than a year after a similar deal between the GSC and its Maltese counterpart, the Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA). The GSC explained in a statement it hopes the agreement will help “improve regulatory standards both in the online and land based sectors” and strengthen consumer protection legislation.
Estonia’s online licensees include PokerStars and Paf, while TonyBet opened the first ever land-based betting shop in the EU Member State last year.
GSC chief executive Steve Brennan said the agreement “builds on the Isle of Man’s commitment to international cooperation”, suggesting it represents “a strong endorsement of [the island’s] excellent reputation and international standing”.
It marks the first cooperation agreement signed by the Isle of Man regulator since the appointment of former Betex chief executive Peter Greenhill as its new head of egaming development.
