
Interwetten inks wide-ranging Liverpool FC partnership
Malta-based operator and six-time European Cup winners to create unique content as part of regional deal

Interwetten has agreed a long-term regional partnership with UEFA Champions League finalists Liverpool FC.
The full length of the deal has not been disclosed, however the agreement will see Interwetten and Liverpool develop a joint “entertainment programme” utilising marketing-led assets from Liverpool, including the club’s social media channels, with jointly produced content featured by both parties.
The deal expands Interwetten’s sponsorship portfolio which includes regional deals with the NHL, the Professional Darts Tour (PDC) and both the German and Austrian Ski Federations, the DSV and the ÖSV.
Interwetten board spokesman Stefan Sulzbacher welcomed the signing of the partnership, highlighting the potential benefits for the Malta-based operators business, in partnering with a recognised household name in world football.
“As a reliable sports betting provider, we always strive for long-term partnerships and co-operations with international reputation. We will have one of the most traditional and powerful club brands in the world at our side in Liverpool FC,” Sulzbacher added.
His comments were echoed by Liverpool FC commercial director Ben Latty, who added: “We are excited to launch our partnership with Interwetten.
“Together we will provide our fans in the region with new opportunities to engage with the club through innovative content and unique experiences,” he added.
The news was announced just days after Liverpool booked their place in the UEFA Champions League final, taking place on May 28 in Paris.
Interwetten was founded in Vienna in 1990, but has been Malta-based since 2005. It offers sports betting markets on more than 70 sports hosting products from more than 30 providers encompassing over 1,200 games.
The firm finished 43 in the EGR Power 50 rankings in 2021.
