Industry heavyweights face tough challenge in eGR B2B Awards
Playtech and Net Entertainment head up hugely competitive B2B shortlist for June awards ceremony
Industry heavyweights Playtech, Microgaming and Net Entertainment head up this year’s shortlist for the eGR B2B Awards, but face stiff competition in many of the major categories.
Playtech tops the list with 11 nominations including live casino supplier, innovation in mobile and innovation in sports betting software.
The software giant is also one of eight shortlisted firms in the running for the hugely competitive Platform of the Year category.
Joining Playtech on the shortlist for this new award are Amaya, Bit8, EveryMatrix, GameAccount Network, GTech, Leander Games and Openbet.
“Interest in Platform of the Year was extremely high and the quality of entrants can be seen in the shortlist, with every one of them a potential winner,” Tom Washington, eGR Editor, said.
Net Entertainment, with seven nominations, also features heavily in the shortlist with the Swedish firm up for a number of awards in the Innovation categories.
Microgaming is also up for six awards including RNG Casino Supplier and number of mobile-focused awards following its impressive roll-out of mobile products during 2013.
Mobile categories proved to be some the most competitive with both Quickspin and Realistic Games both competing for a number of awards.
But perhaps the hottest category of all will be the Software Rising Star where seven firms from a variety of sectors will look to take home the top prize.
“We anticipate this to be the most hotly contested B2B awards yet with the depth of quality clear just from glancing at the shortlisted firms,” Washington said.
