Industry execs invest seven-figure sum in 4ThePlayer slots studio
UK-based start-up earns financial backing from former bet365 gaming strategy director Gil Rotem among others

Leading industry executives have pledged to invest a combined seven-figure sum in slots studio start-up 4ThePlayer.com after a private funding round, EGR has learned.
The cash injection was raised by a small group of industry individuals, including M&A specialist Daniel Burns and Reflex Gaming CEO Quentin Stott.
The pair were joined in the funding round by former bet365 gaming strategy director Gil Rotem, former Ladbrokes Coral COO Ian Chuter and former SG Digital CCO Steve Schrier.
4ThePlayer co-founders Chris Ash (business development director), Andrew Porter (CEO) and Henry McLean (commercial and marketing director) also contributed to the investment.
The UK-based studio was founded in 2019 by the trio, who are veterans of the online casino sector having formed Ash Gaming before it was acquired by Playtech in 2011.
Porter said: “We are delighted we have completed this investment; we are continually creating exciting game concepts and the funding will allow us to bring them all to fruition over the next few years.
“We will also double down on our operator and player focused engagement. We can’t wait to show you our latest innovations,” he added.
To date, 4ThePlayer has released six games including top-performing 9k Yeti and 6 Wild Sharks, as well as two crypto gaming-inspired titles, 100 Bit Dice and 1000X BUSTA.
Its latest game 123 BOOM! was released via the Relax Silver Bullet network.
“We are extremely excited that such a talented and experienced group of individuals have joined us on the 4ThePlayer journey,” said Ash.
“We look forward to drawing on their expertise and input as we take the business forward. 2021 is going to be an exciting year for 4ThePlayer.com as we look to expand into the US,” he added.
