IBIA and Genius Sports unveil global integrity framework
New York-listed supplier and integrity association will share information to identify and prevent integrity threats across sports, including match-fixing and betting-related corruption

Genius Sports and the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) have joined forces to launch a global integrity partnership to focus on anti-match-fixing initiatives.
Supplier giant Genius Sports already serves as an integrity partner to more than 400 sports organisations and 150 sports leagues including the NFL, NASCAR and English Premier League.
Together with the IBIA, with the body working alongside FIFA, UEFA and the International Tennis Integrity Association, the two firms will use their respective monitoring platforms to share information and collaborate on anti-match-fixing activities across the globe.
Both firms will share technological resources and integrity reports, with Genius Sports also set to become an associate member of the IBIA.
Khalid Ali, IBIA CEO, praised the partnership, which will look to protect events from “betting-related corruption”.
Ali said: “I am delighted that we have reached this important agreement with Genius Sports.
“It brings together two leading global players in the sports technology and betting integrity environments with a clear focus on protecting sporting events from betting-related corruption.
“The addition of Genius Sports as an associate member of IBIA is particularly welcome given the breadth of its sporting and integrity relationships across North and South America, which will assist IBIA’s operational expansion across those regions,” he added.
Simon Martyn, Genius Sports director of integrity and rights enforcement, noted the partnership will make it easier to identify and prevent integrity threats in the future.
Martyn explained: “Cooperation and the sharing of information are vital pillars to safeguarding the global sports industry from the threats of match-fixing and betting-related corruption.
“Our partnership with IBIA will provide us and our partners with greater transparency over global betting patterns, helping to identify, manage and prevent any integrity threats.”
Genius Sports has become the latest industry firm to link up with the IBIA after Novibet partnered with the integrity giant last month.
In its Q1 2024 data, the IBIA reported 56 instances of suspicious betting activity across six sports, with football producing the most alerts at 24.
