Highlight Games partners with Manchester City
Highlight to feature domestic goal action from the club in an online scratch card game format
Premier League champions Manchester City have entered into a licence agreement with London-based virtual video sports and games supplier Highlight Games.
As part of the deal, Highlight can make use of archive footage from domestic league and cup games involving the club.
Highlight is set to introduce a range of new Instant Win products, featuring footage of Manchester City goals and football action in an online scratch card game format.
Highlight co-CEO Steven Holmes said: “I’m delighted to announce this licensing agreement with one of the most prestigious football clubs in the Premier League.
“This agreement will enable Highlight Games to further extend its product portfolio, combining unique archive footage with Manchester City’s intellectual property to create premium-branded games.
“We are confident that the simplicity of our new Instant Win games, combined with the best goals from Manchester City’s past seasons, will prove very popular with player-focused betting experiences, in a live video format. Its products are available in jurisdictions including the UK, Italy, USA, Greece, Turkey, Colombia and the Philippines.”
In February, Highlight announced plans to add virtual horse and dog betting to its portfolio in an effort to increase its product offering and drive growth.
Last year, the company secured the rights to use archive footage from the Scottish Premiership with plans to launch a suite of games featuring Scottish football action.
