Golden Nugget’s Thomas Winter joins Ralph Topping on Superbet board
EGR Intel understands Golden Nugget’s online chief will support the Romanian operator’s digital and gaming expansion

Golden Nugget’s online chief, Thomas Winter, has become the latest high-profile industry executive to join the advisory board of Romanian operator Superbet, EGR Intel can reveal.
The US hotel and casino company’s senior vice president and general manager of online gaming will join the likes of Ralph Topping and Kristof Fahy on the operator’s advisory board from next week.
Winter has led Golden Nugget’s online gaming business since 2013 having previously worked at French operator Betclic Everest for a number of years, including an 18-month stint as CEO.
Golden Nugget, which is owned by Landry’s Inc., is currently the largest online gaming operator in New Jersey with annual revenues of more than $40m.
In his role on Superbet’s advisory board, Winter will be responsible for helping the Central and Eastern Europe-focused operator’s expansion into online and gaming.
“We know each other from 2012 when we had short-term consultancy relations between his Betclic and Golden Nugget appointments,” Superbet CEO, Sacha Dragic, told EGR Intel.
“I am very happy he could join, as we are increasing our advisory board-level knowledge of gaming and digital which, together with Kristof Fahy’s marketing expertise, were areas of most strategic importance for Superbet’s future development,” he added.
Dragic also said the operator’s advisory board was now complete following the appointment of Winter.
News of Winter joining Superbet comes after the company recently announced ex-William Hill and Ladbrokes CMO, Kristof Fahy, had also joined its advisory board as part of a major recruitment drive of marketing personnel.
Fahy, who is currently chief customer officer (CCO) at Hostelworld Group, joined his former William Hill boss Ralph Topping on the Romanian company’s advisory board to coincide with the appointment of a new CMO.
