Organisation praises increase in social media presence and international reach in latest annual report

Global Gaming Women (GGW) has revealed it now boasts 6,850 members across six continents as part of its 2022 report.
GGW was established in 2016 by the American Gaming Association (AGA) as a means to create a network for women in the industry to connect, develop their skills and nurture emerging female leaders.
According to the group’s latest report, GGW has 6,850 members with active members in all 48 continental US states.
It also boasts members in Canada, Mexico, the UK, India, Australia, Argentina, Japan and Sweden.
GGW said the top five companies represented in its membership were Aristocrat, IGT, Light & Wonder, Caesars Entertainment and San Manuel.
The organisation also revealed year-on-year increases across its social media followings as it continues to grow in prominence.
The group’s LinkedIn following increased by 35%, Instagram by 34% and Twitter by 5%, all over the course of 2022.
GGW has grown to include nine committees as part of the organisation, including finance, education and membership.
Cassie Stratford, GGW president, thanked the organisation’s supporters for their support over the last 12 months and laid out the mission statement for 2023.
Stratford said: “I am happy to share that we ended the 2022 fiscal year with a substantial increase in active membership across five continents, expanded in person and online programming and record attendance at our marquee events held during G2E.
“We are extremely proud of the accomplishments of the many women GGW has reached throughout the last year. As we look forward to executing our strategic initiatives in 2023, we remain dedicated to our core mission while ensuring GGW is relevant, tenable and well-positioned for long-term success in developing a diverse slate of the next generation of gaming leaders,” she added.
