GiG snaps up former DraftKings director as SVP of commercial
Andy Evers joins the supplier to lead its commercial strategy after a four-year spell with the US sports betting and igaming giant

GiG Software has announced the appointment of ex-DraftKings head Andy Evers as the company’s new senior vice-president of commercial.
As part of the role, Evers will oversee GiG’s commercial, account management and managed services departments.
The supplier said Evers would help align the company’s “operational infrastructure with the needs of its expanding partner network” following his arrival.
He most recently served as commercial director at DraftKings, a position he held from September 2020 to January 2025.
Prior to that, Evers spent six years at Betgenius in a variety of roles, having initially joined the company in October 2013 as a business development manager.
In September 2015, he moved up to head of business development until January 2019, with Betgenius having merged with SportingPulse in 2016 to rebrand as Genius Sports.
Evers’ final role with the company was as commercial director for Asia from January 2019 to July 2020.
GiG said that Evers’ appointment highlighted the company’s commitment to “deepening relationships with its clients and ensuring exceptional service delivery”.
Speaking about his new role, Evers said: “I’ve been incredibly impressed by the vision and strategy that GiG’s executive management team has implemented, as well as the immense potential for significant growth and expansion within the business.
“Having worked with some of the executive team closely during my time at DraftKings, I’ve seen firsthand the high standards they uphold and I look forward to the challenge of helping scale its operational and commercial capabilities during what promises to be a truly exciting period ahead.”
GiG Software COO James Coxon added: “Andy’s arrival provides a fantastic boost to the business at a pivotal time.
“His experience and proven track-record at driving commercial successes feed into our commitment to optimise our partners’ operations, ensuring we remain able to understand and serve their needs, delivering industry leading and world class support in multiple markets.”
GiG reported revenue of €8.8m for Q4 2024, representing a 3% year-on-year decrease in the firm’s first quarter as a standalone company following the split from Gentoo Media.
