GiG promotes from within for newly created COO role
Former director of SEO and publishing Milorad Matejic appointed chief operating officer of GiG Media ahead of planned split of the business

Milorad Matejic has been named as the new chief operating officer (COO) of Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) Media.
The newly created role follows the plans for GiG to split its two businesses into separate publicly listed companies, GiG Platform and Sportsbook and GiG Media.
The split is expected to be completed by H2 this year and will see each business have its own C-suite.
Matejic takes on the job having spent the past eight years rising the ranks with the Malta-based firm.
For the last four years, Matejic has served as GiG’s director of SEO and publishing, a role he took on following seven months as director of SEO.
He originally joined the affiliate as head of SEO in February 2016 before stepping up in October 2019.
Prior to that, Matejic enjoyed a seven-month stint as the SEO and content manager at AskGamblers, itself now a part of GiG after the Malta-based firm acquired the brand in late 2022.
On the new role, Matejic said: “I am deeply honoured and thrilled to embark on this new journey.
“It is a genuine privilege to join forces with my talented colleagues at GiG Media, as we collectively endeavour to propel the company to unprecedented success and secure a dominant position in the competitive affiliate landscape.”
Earlier this month, the group posted all-time high revenue of €35.6m (£30.4m) for Q4 2023, representing year-on-year growth of 37%.
