GiG offers operators free coronavirus affiliate tracking software
Malta-based supplier takes aim at non-compliant egaming affiliates for trying to “profiteer off a crisis”

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) is offering free coronavirus keyword tracking to operators seeking to monitor their affiliate marketing channels.
The Malta-based supplier will provide free searches via its GiG Comply software to online gambling firms that fear their brand is being promoted in an unethical way as marketers seek to take advantage of the coronavirus pandemic.
The initiative is a direct response to affiliate marketing breaches in both the UK and the Netherlands this month.
Kindred Group and Flutter Entertainment were forced to issue zero-tolerance warnings to affiliate partners after one UK-facing lead gen firm advertised a “coronavirus safe casino” via email.
GiG director of sales James King said: “We don’t believe anyone should be profiteering off this crisis, which is having a huge effect on so many within our industry and through many others.
“Therefore, we at GiG are running checks against Covid-19/coronavirus and other associated keywords for operators for free.
“Our technology can scan and analyse thousands of web pages within a short space of time, and therefore is well placed to support our sector’s fight against those profiteering off the back of crisis.”
GiG has taken measures this month to reduce operating expenses related to sports in both its B2C and B2B operations after the coronavirus outbreak led to the cancellation of global sports fixtures.
