GiG joins forces with Betgenius in sportsbook platform combination
Malta-based supplier to reduce sportsbook operating expenses in comprehensive tie-up with Genius Sports subsidiary

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has sealed a strategic partnership with Betgenius to provide the sportsbook and platform trading solution for its B2B business repertoire.
The agreement weaves together GiG’s platform tech with the sportsbook supplier’s end-to-end live data, trading and risk management services.
This service includes official sports betting content from more than 300 competitions, including the Premier League, Serie A and EuroLeague basketball.
Betgenius will take over all day-to-day sportsbook management operations, including pricing, while GiG will provide the technical architecture and front-end development via its PAM tech stack.
GiG has been searching for a sportsbook services partner since May when it disbanded its trading team in a bid to achieve monthly cost savings of €400k amid a comprehensive strategic review.
The new combination has already signed a Heads of Terms deal to supply sportsbook software to a major operator in the Latam region, with a final agreement likely to be reached in September.
In Q1, GiG CEO Richard Brown said the supplier had been in ongoing dialogue with potential sportsbook partners since divesting its B2C business to Betsson.
On the Betgenius deal, Brown said: “Betgenius is a market leader within sports data as well as having a first-class risk and trading management solution, and I am delighted that they have chosen GiG as their partner to create a sportsbook and platform solution.
“Combined we will offer a highly competitive offering to the market, already proven by the signing of a Heads of Terms with a major operator. The partnership will also further improve operational efficiency within our sports segment,” he added.
