GIG appoints new director of sports ahead of World Cup product relaunch
Operator overhauls its B2B sports betting product to include an in-house odds feed and odds aggregation service

Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) has promoted Endre Nesset to interim director of sports as part of a reshuffle of the firm’s B2B sports betting arm, EGR Intel has learned.
Nesset joined the operator in 2016 as part of OddsModel, an bet placement and software development firm which was acquired by GIG in 2016
Speaking to EGR, Nesset said the firm was relaunching an entirely re-built version of its B2B sportsbook product ahead of the World Cup, including new trading tools and a number of unique in-house created markets.
The offering will also feature a brand new front end and an odds aggregation service.
Nesset said: “We’re also creating brand new trading tools and that’s quite unique in the industry. We’re doing it a little bit differently and creating it all from scratch.
“It is an intelligent tool with a unique UX and it uses a machine learning engine to give a more personal feed on the website,” Nesset added.
“At GIG our goal is to completely disrupt the online gambling market.”
Former director of sports for the B2B arm, Christopher Langeland, has taken a step back from the operational side of the business to sit on the board of directors for the IK Start Football Club, which he recently acquired alongside GIG CEO Robin Reed.
