GiG and Hero Gaming among four operators to have Swedish licence extended by courts
Aspire Global and CasinoRoom-operator Ellmount Gaming also have licences extended by Swedish courts

Four operators including Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), Hero Gaming, Aspire Global and CasinoRoom, have had their Swedish licences extended to three years following a court ruling.
The firms were originally granted a one-year – instead of five-year – licence by the Swedish Gambling Authority (SGA) due to concerns about their financial strength.
However, the Administrative Court of Linköping ruled last week the firms had ”partial rights” and extended the license period from one year to three years.
The SGA today said it is now considering whether to appeal the decision. The regulator has until 9 August to file an appeal.
The operators can also appeal if they feel they deserve the full five-year licence.
Some Swedish licensees initially received two-year licenses thanks to transgressions in other markets.
